The Gilbert Wales Supporter Rugby Ball is a full-size replica ball in the white and red of Welsh rugby, produced by Gilbert under official licence from and with the full endorsement of the Welsh Rugby Union. Built with a synthetic cover over a latex bladder, it is made to be played with rather than just displayed.
Key Features
- Officially licensed WRU replica — Part of Gilbert's licensed Wales range, fully endorsed by the Welsh Rugby Union.
- Synthetic cover — Hard-wearing surface suited to park, garden and training use.
- Latex bladder — Holds shape and pressure for consistent handling.
- White/Red Wales design — Bold supporter graphics in the national colours.
- Size 5 — The full adult match size, so it handles and kicks like the real thing.
- Gilbert construction — From the brand that has supplied rugby balls at the highest level for well over a century.
Performance Overview
Supporter balls sit in an awkward gap: bought as gifts, then usually kicked around a garden until they fall apart. This one is built for that reality. The synthetic cover shrugs off grass, gravel and the occasional hedge far better than a novelty ball, and the latex bladder holds pressure so it still flies straight weeks after Christmas.
At size 5 it is the standard adult ball, which matters if it is going to be used for genuine passing and kicking practice rather than sitting on a shelf. For a young supporter learning to spin a pass, having a proper full-size Gilbert in the national colours is a good deal more motivating than a plain training ball.
Benefits
- Genuine licensed Wales product, not an unofficial lookalike.
- Durable enough for real use in the garden, park or club car park.
- Full adult size 5 for authentic handling and kicking practice.
- A strong gift for Welsh rugby supporters of any age.
