TORQ Hydration Drink in Tangerine flavour is a hypotonic hydration powder with five electrolytes. TORQ designs it for sessions and events of up to about an hour where sweat loss is high – indoor cycling, studio classes and similar. This is the box of 15 single-serve 18g sachets, each making 500ml.
Key Features
- Hypotonic formulation – TORQ describes it as a hypotonic hydration drink with five electrolytes.
- Five electrolytes – sodium, chloride, calcium, potassium and magnesium, from sodium chloride, calcium lactate, potassium chloride and magnesium carbonate.
- 275mg sodium per 500ml – equivalent to 0.68g salt per serve, alongside 63mg potassium, 26mg calcium, 6mg magnesium and 481mg chloride.
- Single-serve sachets – one 18g sachet makes 500ml, so there is no scooping or measuring at the side of a court.
- No preservatives, colours or artificial sweeteners – TORQ states natural flavouring only.
- Wheat-free, dairy-free and suitable for vegans – TORQ states no gluten-containing ingredients are used.
Performance Overview
TORQ positions Hydration Drink for short, sweaty sessions rather than long-distance fuelling – the sort of hour on a turbo, in a studio or in a badminton or squash session where you lose a lot of fluid but do not need a large carbohydrate load. It can also be used inside the wider TORQ Fuelling System on longer days as an alternative to TORQ Energy Drink, paired with TORQ Gels for carbohydrate.
Benefits
Sachets travel better than a tub. A box of 15 gives a club, a coach or a kit bag a fortnight of pre-measured 500ml serves with no scoop to lose and no powder spilling in a holdall. Buying by the box also drops the cost per serve against buying singles.
