Balance & Flex Profile
The Yonex Astrox 88 Play is a head-heavy, medium-flex badminton racket from the Astrox 88 family, released for the 2024 season. In 4U weight with a G5 grip, it brings Astrox power and precision to an accessible Play-level frame in Black/Silver.
Key Features
- ISOMETRIC™ frame shape – maximises the sweet spot for accuracy and consistent power and control, even on off-centre hits.
- Rotational Generator System – balances weight through the racket for control, swing speed, quick recovery and smooth transitions between shots.
- Power-Assist Bumper – extra weight at the top of the frame for powerful smashes without losing speed and agility.
- AERO+BOX frame – a solid hitting feel with reduced air resistance for faster swings.
- Slim shaft – aerodynamics and flexibility for a comfortable feel on every stroke.
Performance Overview
The head-heavy balance and Power-Assist Bumper put weight behind smashes, while the medium-flex slim shaft and AERO+BOX frame keep it easy to swing. Whether you are an aggressive smasher or a strategic placer, the isometric head keeps your shots consistent.
Who Is It For?
Beginners, improvers and social players who like to attack and want a head-heavy racket from the Astrox 88 family at an accessible level.
Care
To keep the Astrox 88 Play performing, check string tension regularly and keep the racket in a protective case when not in use. Avoid extreme temperatures and be mindful of collisions that could damage the frame.
